After planning several events for family, friends, and companies, ranging from weddings and birthday parties to corporate dinners and trade show exhibits, Jen realized it was time to pursue her passion and started The Pink Polka Dot in 2009. From brainstorming ideas at the beginning to coordinating the actual event, it’s what she loves to do!
Jen truly loves every aspect of the business, from planning a couple’s dream wedding to designing a custom invitation suite. It’s amazing to be such an integral part of such an important milestone in someone’s life. At the same time, she understands the amount of trust her clients put in her and works tirelessly to ensure each detail and moment is beyond their expectations.
Jen grew up on Cape Cod and knows the area well. She graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida and has her pilots license. After college, she lived in Pennsylvania, New York City, and Boston. Although, she enjoyed living in different cities, Cape Cod was always home. She married her high school sweetheart, Jared, in 2006 and they couldn’t think of a better place to start their married life and raise a family.
They have two adorable boys, Mason (4) and Maddox (2). The boys can often be spotted in the store; Mason loves to come to work with mom when he’s not in preschool. Jared is our resident IT/Computer Guru and keeps the computers, printers, and internet working. Life is certainly hectic, but they wouldn’t want it any other way!
Dylan started at The Pink Polka Dot in 2015 as Assistant Wedding & Event Coordinator. In addition to assisting Jen at weddings, Dylan also assists with the day-to-day operations of our boutique and helps customers create their custom invitations. She is currently working toward a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from UMass Dartmouth.
Dylan enjoys helping customers design their stationery and invitations and her calm, pleasant demeanor is always appreciated by bride’s and their families!
